 I am going to learn English at school during the day. Are there any night time jobs available?

Working in a restaurant might be that perfect job. Restaurants will usually operate from 17.00 until 23.00.

Restaurants are very similar throughout the world. The main difference between a Japanese restaurant and a Western restaurant are the use of “knives, forks and spoons ” instead of chopsticks.

レストランの仕事は世界のどこでも似ています。日本のレストランと西洋との違いは箸の代わりにナイフとフォークを使うところです。  

How do I set a table correctly?

正しくテーブルをセットする方法は？  

The correct way to set a table is very simple.

テーブルセットの方法は簡単です。

From the left to the right.

基本は左から右へ。

First is a small “bread plate”. On top of the plate is a “bread knife ”.

パン用の小皿を左に置きます。パン用のナイフをその小皿の上に載せます。

To the right of the plate is the fork.

小皿の右側にはフォークを置きます。

On the other side of the placemat is the knife and then the “soup spoon”.

食卓用マットの反対側（右側）にはナイフ、そして外側にスープスプーンです。

To finish the setting a glass is placed in front of the knife.

最後にグラスをナイフの先端、やや上部に置きます。

Some restaurants will change this pattern slightly.
