Will I need to have a “Bank Account”?

銀行口座が必要になりますか？  

There are two reasons for making a bank account:

銀行口座を作る理由は２つあります。

·       It is the safest place for your money.

お金をもっとも安全に管理できる。

·       A company will usually only pay a salary into a bank account. They will not pay cash.

お給料は口座振り込み型です。現金では支払えません。 

 

Will I need my inkan to open a bank account?

銀行口座のために、印鑑は必要ですか？  

In foreign countries an inkan is not used to open accounts.

A person will usually need three forms of identification. At least on needs to include a photo.

外国では印鑑は使われていません。ふつう３つの写真つきの身分証明書が必要になります。

Suitable forms of identification could include:

適した身分証明書とは：  

·       Passport

パスポート

·       Japanese cash card

銀行カード

·       Japanese drivers license

日本の（または国際）運転免許証

·       Master card or visa card

クレジットカード

·       Backpackers card

YHA/VIPカード

·       School identification card

学生証/国際学生証

·       Birth certificate

出生証明書 

 

You may also need an envelope showing your new address.

また、新しい住所が書かれた封筒が必要かもしれません。

What is the best type of account?

どんなタイプの口座が一番いいですか？  

There are many types of accounts available. For visiting people a basic “key card account is probably best.

様々なタイプの口座が利用できますが、観光で来ている場合は、キーカード口座が良いでしょう。
