The best and cheapest place to book long distance bus tickets is at a “Backpacker’s”.

長距離バスチケットが安く買えるベストの場所は、バックパッカー宿です。

Many Backpacker’s will also have “Notice Board’s ”

Where fellow travellers with cars will advertise where and when they are next travelling. These people will quite often have a spare seat or two for fellow travellers.

たくさんのバックパッカー宿には掲示板があり、車を持つ人達が道連れを探すため、次にいつどこに行くかの募集広告が貼られています（リフト）。これらの人々は車にスペースがあり、１人２人の同乗者を乗せることが出来ます。

They will usually ask to share the fuel costs to the destination.

This is a great way of meeting people, seeing the country and having fun.

彼らはたいてい目的地までのガソリン代を出し合おう、と言います。これは楽しみながら各地を見る事ができ、いろんな人に出会える素晴らしい方法です。

How long will it take? How much will it cost?

Sometimes people will advertise “Only women”.

If it is a male and there will be no other people travelling you should be wary.

出発前にその人たちに会い、何人が一緒に旅行するのか、どれぐらい時間がかかるのか、またどれぐらいお金がかかるのかを確認しましょう。時々、“女性のみ”の広告が出ていることがありますが、募集主が男性で他に同乗者がいない場合は十分に用心しましょう。

It can be dangerous. Be careful and use your own judgment when deciding.
