When travelling Protect your Property.

旅行中は自分の持ち物を守りましょう。　

Keep your passport, tickets, wallet, and etc. securely about yourself. It is a good idea to buy a money belt. Be very careful.

Don’t hand your passport over to anybody.

パスポート、チケット類、財布など管理し、自分自身をしっかり守りましょう。専用の腰ベルトを買うといいでしょう。気をつけて、決してパスポートを他人に手渡さないように！

If you are in extreme danger it is better to lose your wallet than your life.

とても危険な状況では、命を落とすよりより財布のほうがいいでしょう。

Never leave your luggage with a stranger to look after.

決して見知らぬ人にバッグや荷物は預けない事です。

When you are asleep on a bus or train it is an idea to place your small bag on the floor and place a leg through the strap. If anybody tries to move the bag you will be woken.

バスや電車の中で寝る際は、荷物を足元に置いて肩紐の部分に自分の足を絡ませておきましょう。もし誰かがカバンを取ろうとしたらあなたは気づく事ができます。

One trick thieves will use is distraction.

泥棒たちの使うワナは、相手の気を散らすことです。

The thieves work in pairs, one male and one female.

泥棒は男女のペアで盗みを働きます。

Situation One.

境遇1

When a male for example is waiting at a bus station, the female will approach and sit the opposite side to the backpack. She will start talking and become quite friendly. After a couple of minutes she will say good by and walk away. When you turn to check your backpack it is gone. While the female was talking her male partner picked it up and walked away.

例えばある男性がバス乗り場で待っています。と、女性が近づいてきて荷物の反対側に座り、彼女は彼に親しげに話し始めます。数分後彼女がサヨナラを言い去っていった時には荷物が無くなっているのです。女性が話し掛けている間に、パートナーの男が盗んだのです。

 

Now the thieves are gone and so is your backpack.

あっという間に泥棒もあなたの荷物もなくなっています。

When sitting keep and arm or leg through a strap. If anybody moves it you will know.

座っている時でも荷物のストラップに足や腕を巻きつけておきましょう。そうすれば気づくことが出来ます。

This happened to a friend of mine in Canada. He lost his backpack, an expensive video camera and all of his clothes.

これはカナダで実際にあった私の友人の話です。彼はバックパックを紛失、高価なビデオカメラと全ての洋服を無くしました。
