横道にそれちゃダメ！  

When in a foreign country it is of up most importance to respect the laws and traditions of that country. Ignorance is not an excuse.

外国にいるとき、その国の法律やしきたりを考慮することは最も重要です。無知は言い訳になりません。

Breaking the law may mean being deported. If you are deported you may not be able to travel outside of Japan for many years, or ever.

法律を破ればすなわち国外追放です。国外追放になれば、何年も、また２度と日本から出る事が出来なくなります。

If it is a serious offence you may be placed in jail.

もし重大な罪や違反の場合は刑務所に入れられる事もありえます。

When travelling there are a few simple points to remember.

旅行中はちょっとした以下の事を覚えておきましょう。

·       Don’t try, take or sell drugs.

薬物を使ったり売ったり絶対しない事。

·       Stay away from people who take or sell drugs.

薬物を使用する人と関わり合いにならない事。

In some countries drug offences are punishable by death.

いくつかの国では薬物の罪は死によって罰せられます。

·       Don’t steal.

盗まないこと

·       Don’t drink and drive.

運転をするときはお酒を飲まないこと

·       Don’t ride with a person who is drink driving. It is safer to simply catch a taxi or bus.

お酒を飲んでいる人の運転する車に乗らないこと、バスや

クシーを利用する方が安全です。

 

If you are driving a car and are drunk and hit and kill a person it could mean up to 25 years in jail.

酔っ払い運転でもし人を轢いて死なせてしまったら、２５年以上の刑務所行きです。

 

·       Respect other people.

周りの人を敬うこと

·       Do not deliberately damage property that is not yours.

自分の所有物でないものを故意に傷つけたりしないこと

 

This may sound scary. If you follow the law you will have nothing to worry about.

聞こえは恐ろしいが、法律に違反しなければ何も心配することは無いのです。
